Dear Starr Families,

We look forward to being a part of your child’s education. At Starr Elementary we promote a culture of tradition, family, and community. We provide many opportunities for our students to grow and build on their educational strengths. As a team we continually strive to find new learning avenues to expand our students knowledge and understanding. We provide a safe environment socially, emotionally, and educationally.

Technology integration remains a focus for every teacher at Starr. We continue to implement a technology rich environment. Our students have access to Chromebook carts at each grade level and to our two stationary Chromebook labs! In addition, we will continue our goal to develop as a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) school.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to foster relationships with all of you and to help promote Oregon City Schools commitment to excellence in education. Together we can accomplish our mission as a school and district to maintain a safe and secure learning environment that provides all students with the opportunity to obtain knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be successful in the 21st century.
