Principal's Message
Dear Starr Families,
I am extremely excited to join the Starr Family as the new principal. As someone who has lived and worked in this community for many years, I feel truly honored to take on this role and continue the strong traditions and values that make Starr Elementary such a special place. I look forward to working closely with our amazing staff, supportive families, and the wider community to make sure every child feels noticed, supported, and encouraged to be their best.
One of my main goals as principal is to help create a positive and welcoming school environment where everyone, students, staff, and families, feels a shared responsibility for taking care of one another. We know that students do their best when they feel safe, respected, and connected. At Starr, we will build a school culture based on kindness, respect, and high expectations, where students are not only encouraged to dream big but also to support each other every step of the way.
As we follow the Oregon City Schools Vision and Mission, we will focus on helping students build important 21st century skills that will prepare them for success now and in the future. This includes learning how to communicate clearly, work together, think through problems, and be creative. Together, we will help our students grow into confident, caring, and capable individuals who are ready for whatever comes next. I am so grateful for the opportunity to lead Starr Elementary and can’t wait for a great year of learning and growth.
